Lasting Legacy: Nils & Rose
“Right this way, Maeve, Rose has been preparing for your arrival all day. I do not doubt the house smells wonderful.” Nils smiled as he carried the luggage for his younger sister up the walkway to his house. She was the first of his family to visit him in the states, and honestly it had been a bit of a surprise that Maeve had wanted to come, especially now that she was leaving her young son and her husband back in Denmark for the majority of her stay. “You’ll be delighted by her cooking I assure you, better than mother could have made.”
“Hmm,” His younger sister barely responded, trailing behind him and not even offering to help hold open the door even has he struggled to hold both her suitcases and the knob. She was dressed in all black, a chic and slimming design. As well put together as ever, with her dark brown hair pulled up in a bun that on anyone else would appear severe but on the mature and desperately fashionable woman only looked flattering. Her heels, sharp and adding over five inches to her height, clipped against the cement walkway. “I don’t have much of a appetite.”
